The Hop & Grain Brew Store

It all began with an idea. A hobby that developed into something more. Wayyyy more.

In 2013, my husband Sam pointed out that Sydney's Inner West was lacking in home brew stores, a problem for him, an avid home brewer… so we decided to start one. Doors opened early February 2014, in a beautiful little store on Enmore Road.

Within a year, we had outgrown it and found a warehouse in Marrickville. We continued to grow the business with an awesome, reliable team of staff, retailing in-store and online and also hosting regular workshops and events. Everything for the store, from fit outs to branding, website design and development, socials and product photography was designed and directed by myself, while Sam handled the development of our website.

In August 2018 we sold the store but are still immensely proud of the successful business we built from the ground up. Cheers to that!
